Exciting news arrived this Term: Wollert Secondary College has been allocated funding in the 2024/5 State Government Budget.

This significant investment totals $947.735 million for new school constructions, with our college set to receive at least $36.166 million. This allocation will facilitate the completion of stage 2 of our school, which includes the development of a learning neighborhood, an art & technology building, and landscaping enhancements.

This funding marks a pivotal moment for our College, enabling us to further expand and enhance our facilities for the benefit of both our students and the wider community. Initial planning and design endeavors are slated to commence this year, with construction anticipated to commence in 2025.

Our aim is to achieve completion ahead of the 2026 school year. Earlier in Term 2, we had the privilege of hosting Bronwyn Halfpenny, MP for Thomastown, and Lilly D’Ambrosio, MP for Mill Park, on a tour of our school grounds.

Accompanied by some of our student leaders, they explored our buildings and facilities, engaged with students and teachers in classrooms, and expressed genuine interest and support for the future development of Wollert Secondary College
